Jerry V. Smith

Jerry V. Smith serves as the Chairman of the Board at TriStar Bank and is one of the bank’s original founders. He is in his 25th year of service as a TriStar Bank director. He is an attorney and has practiced law in Dickson since 1976. He serves as the Attorney for the City of Dickson, Dickson Electric System, and the Greater Dickson Gas Authority. He is a Veteran of the United States Army (1st Lt. 1971-1973). He is active in civic affairs, including Boy Scouts of America, Rotary International, and the local and regional library boards.

Ted H. Williams

Ted Williams is the Chief Executive Officer and President of TriStar Bank, a local community bank that he helped organize in 1999. He has served as a community banker in Dickson County for over 36 years. He is a 1982 graduate of Dickson County High School, a 1986 graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, a 1993 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South at L.S.U., and also holds an M.B.A. from Tennessee State University. He is involved in many areas of the community, including Walnut Street Church of Christ, Leadership Middle Tennessee, Dickson Lion’s Club, United Way, and the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at Freed-Hardeman University.  Ted and his wife, Sharon live in Dickson, TN.  They have three children and three granddaughters.

M. Harvey Church

Harvey Church is Past President and an active member of the Board at TriStar Bank. He has over 37 years of banking experience. He is active in many civic and community organizations in Maury County, including Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America, Kiwanis Club of Columbia, Big Brother and Big Sisters, James K. Polk Association, Middle Tennessee Transit Alliance, Leadership Middle Tennessee, Columbia Main Street, the advisory board of the Maury Regional Medical Center and the Maury County YMCA. He is a graduate of Union University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance, the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, Advance Commercial Lending, Vanderbilt University-Owens School of Commercial Lending, and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Harvey and his wife, Carol, live in downtown Columbia and have two children and three grandchildren.

Melissa H. Street

Melissa H. Street is an active member and founder of the Board at TriStar Bank in her 25th year. She is a native of Cheatham County and has lived in Dickson County since 1972. She is a 1973 graduate of Dickson County High School and began her banking career in 1976. Melissa has served many roles in the banking industry most recently as the bank's Chief Credit Officer before her retirement in 2014. Melissa is a 1985 graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking, a 1991 graduate of the Tennessee Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School, a 1992 graduate of TBA’s Consumer Lending School, and a 1998 graduate of the Owen Graduate School of Bank Management of Vanderbilt University. She retired from TriStar Bank in 2014 but continues to serve on the bank’s Board of Directors.

Stuart Speyer

Stuart Speyer is Vice Chairman of the bank's board of directors.  He is CEO and President of Tennsco Corporation and has been active with the company since 1980. Tennsco is a local manufacturer of steel storage and filing systems, which was founded in 1962. The company is Dickson County’s largest private employer. Mr. Speyer received a mechanical engineering degree with honors from Princeton and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He has been an active member of TriStar Bank’s Board of Directors since 2004. Tennsco and the Speyer family have been tremendous contributors to many non-profit organizations including the Community Foundation, United Way, Humane Society, Dickson Help Center, and Habitat for Humanity just to name a few. The Speyer family has also made several gifts to the community including the use of a community center, tennis courts, a softball complex, and a playground. Stuart is also an active member of the High Noon Rotary Club.

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith is the co-owner of Benefits, Inc., a local business that provides employment benefits and services to many companies and municipalities in middle Tennessee. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lipscomb University in 1988. He previously sold financial products holding several state licenses to provide financial planning for individuals. He is a member of the Dickson Lion’s Club and the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce. He joined TriStar Bank’s Board of Directors in 2010.

Wilson Overton

Wilson is a Certified Public Accountant and Consultant. Prior to establishing his tax and consulting practice in 1999, he worked for national and regional accounting firms beginning in 1972. He is a graduate of Dickson County High School, obtained his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Austin Peay State University, and is a graduate of Military Command and General Staff College. He spent almost 35 years in service and has served as the Deputy Chief of Staff/Human Resource Officer to the Adjutant General of Tennessee. He retired as Colonel from the Tennessee Army National Guard. Wilson served fifteen years as a founder and board member of Franklin National Bank from 1989 to 2004. He also served as a board member of the Community Foundation of Dickson County for 15 years. He is a Trustee of the Tennessee National Guard Group Insurance Trust and is a former member/director of the Dickson High Noon Rotary Club. Wilson also has memberships in various professional organizations.Wilson has three children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Brian Ragan

Brian Ragan is an attorney in Dickson County. He is a 1983 graduate of Dickson County High School, earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University, and his doctorate of jurisprudence from Nashville School of Law. Brian is a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ and serves on numerous community boards and committees. Brian retired as a Major from the Tennessee Army National Guard after 21 years of service, which included a one-year tour in Afghanistan as a combat infantry advisor. He served as a bank board member for The People’s Bank in Marion, Kentucky from 2007 to 2011. In the 1990's, he was a bank examiner, and, later legal counsel for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions. Brian has been practicing law since 1993. He and his wife, Carol, live in Dickson have two children.

Paul G. Summers

Paul G. Summers is a former district attorney, appellate judge, and the immediate past State Attorney General and Reporter. Judge Summers has spent the greater part of his career in public service. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S., Distinction, and received his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Judge Summers is a member of the Tennessee Judicial Conference, Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee National Guard Association, and National Guard Association of the United States, Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and National Association of Attorneys General. He was awarded the Army Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster from the Tennessee Army National Guard. He was Chairman of the Southern Region of Attorneys General and past President of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference. He was appointed and elected District Attorney General in 1982; appointed and later elected Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals in 1990; and appointed Attorney General in 1999. Judge Summers served as Senior Judge of the Tennessee Supreme Court from 2013-2017. He is married to the former Kim Beals of Nashville, who is an Administrative Law Judge with the Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office.

John T. Law

John Law is retired after serving as Chief Operating Officer of Property and Casualty Operations for Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee for 16 years. After graduating from Freed-Hardeman University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, John started his Farm Bureau Insurance career as an agent. Other roles he has occupied include life underwriting manager and agency manager. In addition to his work responsibilities, John serves as a trustee for Maury Regional Medical Center. He is a trustee and former Chairman of the Board of Freed-Hardeman University and serves as an elder at the West Seventh Street Church of Christ. John is married to the former Adrienne Sanders and is blessed with two children, and one grandchild. John and Adrienne reside in Columbia.

John G. King

John King is President and CEO of King's Enterprises, Inc. in Columbia, Tennessee. John was born and raised in Columbia. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business from Middle Tennessee State University in 2006, while earning a spot on the Dean's List. In 2009, John formed King's Firearms and More in Columbia. It started as a small brick-and-mortar store but soon expanded due to increased demand. It has evolved into three companies comprising of its original store, an online store, and Firearm Financial. John works closely with state law enforcement agencies around the country to facilitate bulk firearm transactions. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, and he and his wife, Neelley, have three children, Caroline, Ann Russell, and Harrison.

Robby Harmon

Robby Harmon is an Executive Vice President and Chief Risk and Administrative Officer for TriStar Bank. He received his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. He also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Lipscomb University in Nashville. Serving in the Alabama National Guard from 1982 to 1988 Robby participated in several joint exercises with the active Army in Korea and Panama. Robby worked for Tennessee Farm Bureau as an independent agent from 1993 to 1998, and, from 1998 to 2014, he worked as an Executive Institutional Representative for Janssen, Inc., where he completed the Johnson & Johnson Management Development Program in 2005. Robby’s banking experience includes; the American Bankers Association Basic and Advanced Risk School, the Tennessee Bankers Association Branch Manager School in 2014,  the Southeastern School of Banking at Belmont University in 2016, and the Executive Development Institute at the Colorado School Of Banking in 2018. Robby serves on various boards within the community and is active in the Walnut Street Church of Christ. Robby and his wife, Shawn, have two children, and currently reside in Dickson. 

Jason Epley

Jason serves as the Dickson County President and Chief Lending Officer and Chief Retail Officer for the bank. He is a graduate of Dickson County High School and Belmont University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He graduated in 2017 from L.S.U. Graduate School of Banking of the South and has completed the Southeastern School of Banking. In 2019. Jason was included in the ICBA Emerging Community Bank Leaders, 40 under 40 young innovators. He currently serves as Vice Mayor and City Councilman for the 1st Ward of the City of Dickson and is a member of the Sanitation Board for Dickson County and the Dickson Noon Rotary. Jason and his wife, Anna, reside in the city of Dickson with their two children, Issac and Lillian.

Michael Franks

Michael Franks is an Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, and  Maury County President for the bank.  Michael is a graduate of Battle Ground Academy and Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Administration.  He completed the LSU Graduate School of Banking in Baton Rouge, LA in 2010.  He is an active supporter and Board member of the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Tennessee.  He also serves as a Board Ambassador for the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation.  He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Columbia with their children, Trey and Will.

Jeff Barber

Jeff Barber is an Senior Vice President,  and Chief Credit Officer for TriStar Bank. Jeff received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a major in Finance. He also completed the Southeastern School of Banking. Jeff and his wife, Kendel, live in Dickson with their sons, Brice and Mac, and their daughters, Montgomery Jean (M.J.) and Mila.

Becky Ragan

Becky currently serves as an Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. She also serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors as well as the Public Communications Officer.   Becky graduated in 1988 from Dickson County High School and graduated with honors from Lipscomb University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Office Management. She was a member of the 1999 Leadership Dickson County class and served as the secretary for the Dickson Athletic Booster Club from 1998-to 2003. She worked as an administrative assistant to the president and loan processor at Peoples Bank from 1996-to 1999 before joining TriStar Bank in July 2000. Becky serves as a board member for the Walnut Street Church of Christ Childcare and Preschool. Becky and her husband, Alan, have three children, Carrie, Erran, and Hardeman.

Mack Garvin

Mack is the Chief Mortgage Officer, Security Officer, and Senior Vice President for the bank. He is a 1995 graduate of Brentwood Academy. Following high school, he attended UT Martin. He then served the role of Operations Sales Manager for a drilling and blasting company in  Franklin, TN. Mack started his banking career 17 years ago in mortgage lending, and he has completed his first year of the Southeastern School of Banking. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at Columbia Academy, the Legislative Committee for the Southern Middle Tennessee of Realtors, and is a Kiwanis Club member in Columbia. He is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Maury and currently serves on the Chamber Membership committee and Chamber Agribusiness committee. Mack lives in Maury County on his family dairy farm with his wife, Renee, and their two daughters, Madison and McKinley.

Kelley McCall

Kelley is the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for the bank. She is a graduate of Spring Hill High School, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Union University, and a Masters of Accountancy from Belmont University. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for Maury Alliance, Treasurer for Kiwanis of Columbia, and Treasurer and Chair-Elect for Maury Regional Healthcare Foundation. Additionally, Kelley serves on the Board of Directors for Kings Daughters and the Board of Directors for Leadership Middle Tennessee. Kelley resides in Columbia with her fur baby, Zoey.

 

Ann K. Petty

Ann is the Client Engagement Leader, CRA Officer, and Senior Vice President for the bank.  She is a 1978 graduate of Dickson County High School.  Ann's banking career includes working as a mortgage loan processor/originator for Middle Tennessee Mortgage from 1989-2000.  She later became a Certified Mortgage Loan Underwriter. She completed the Scarlett Leadership Institute at Belmont University Meeting and Event Planning Program.  She is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Dickson County and serves as Treasurer for the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation.  She and her husband, Jimmy teach preschool Sunday School at First Baptist Church-Dickson.  They live in Dickson and have three sons.
